CHARLIE WOODS

Carlos Troncoso, known as Charlie Woods, has traversed an impressive journey in the music industry. His passion for sound engineering kickstarted at SAE Institute North Miami, where he sharpened his skills before diving into the vibrant scene at SETAI Recording Studios (Lenny Kravitz’ old stomping grounds) in Miami Beach, working with some of the biggest names in the industry. 

Later, he worked at Kaseya Center with the broadcast team, The Kitchen (Dubbing and Closed Captioning firm) as Senior Mixer, with Nomad Productions (Recording Studios for Alma advertising agency) as the second in-house engineer, and under Univision “La Banda” as Recording Engineer specializing in a capella’s.

Mr. Woods has released a variety of material: two LP’s with his indie project Krisp, remixes for various artists in both local and international scenes, a chill wave solo EP, Sound Mix and Sound Design for a short films Evan’s Mind and Blue Mountains by Luis Carducci, two times Emmy Award winner, among other notable endeavors. 

A decade ago, Charlie embarked on a significant venture in the music industry, establishing Charlie Woods LLC, a leading DJ booking agency. Leveraging his vast experience and industry connections, he collaborated with prestigious brands such as Moncler and Saya, while also collaborating with renowned hospitality venues such as La Mar by Gaston Acurio, Cote Michelin Star Restaurant, and Jarana Restaurant. Charlie's impact extended to iconic locations including FAENA, Mandarin Oriental, Grand Beach Hotel, and Thesis Hotel, where his unique musical touch enhanced the guest experience and elevated events to new heights. 

As Charlie successfully conquered the Miami local scene, his influence extended beyond the high-end market, spinning tracks at popular venues like ZeyZey, Saxony, SoundBar, Gramps, The Corner, and The RoyStone. Through his diverse portfolio of collabs and performances, Charlie solidified his reputation as a dynamic force in the Miami music scene, leaving a lasting impact on audiences and industry insiders alike. 

A notably varied resume showcases his versatility and passion for music, leaving an indelible mark on both audiences and industry insiders.
